The objective of MYSUN is to develop a structure and promote a culture of sustainable HEI campuses in the Malaysian higher education system. Hence, two National Conferences on Sustainability and Energy Efficiency at HEIs will be organised in order to stimulate dialogue and debate at the National level on sustainability and energy efficiency at HEIs in Malaysia and also to allow the participating campuses to showcase HEIs’ sustainability practices and raise awareness of the Network and recruit new members. Each of the conferences is accompanied by a national workshop to train interested participants in relevant topics regarding Sustainable Campus.

The 1st National Conference & Workshop is scheduled to take place on March 15th & 16th, 2022, hosted by Universiti Malaysia Sabah and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Due to the ongoing global Covid19 pandemic, the conference is being organised in a hybrid format, with possibility for in-person and online participation.
